Relocating to Zagreb in a wheel chair, presented some challenges ;D

Navigating her new life in a foreign country took many twists and turns. Every step of the way, she crosses paths with genuinely good people. The ‘Naming Angels’ project was born! She started documenting these lovely people as a way of forming an internal map of her new city.

She explains the project to her subjects, takes their photograph with a phone camera, draws their portrait in charcoal or ink, scans it and delivers the original to her ‘Angel’ subjects. Responses have been priceless, the intervention is taking on an exciting momentum. These portraits are quick studies rather than formal renditions.

Once she has delivered 101 portraits, she will print a limited edition book as a piece for exhibition.
